Senior Manager, Transformation Programme

Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Division
The Transformation Office (TO) plays a pivotal role in driving the transformation journey. Its purpose is to set the direction and cadence for transformation programs, ensuring the Club’s future growth and sustainability of its existence and developing into a healthy, high-performing organisation.
Job Summary
The job holder will support the Head of Transformation Programme in driving the successful execution of the Club’s strategic transformation agenda. This role is responsible for leading multiple programmes and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the transformation roadmap and the Club’s strategic priorities. Key responsibilities include programme planning, governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
The Job
- Provide programme oversight
- Develop integrated project plans, manage execution and delivery of the assigned transformation programmes.
- Ensure delivery against scope, timeline and strategic objective across teams.
- Ensure alignment with the business strategy and priorities.
- Performance monitoring and reporting
- Define and track KPIs and project milestones.
- Maintain programme documentation and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess impact and drive continuous improvement.
- Governance and risk management
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Maintain compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- Portfolio management
- Support resource planning and budget tracking across assigned programmes.
- Support prioritization and resource allocation across multiple projects.
- Optimize programme performance through data-driven decision making.
- Process improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Contribute to the development of PMO tools, templates, and best practices.
- Data analytics and insights
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and generate insights and recommendations for management.
- Develop dashboards and predictive models using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Lead or support ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Manager.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in programme management and large-scale transformation
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-RMP) and exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana)
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- Strong business acumen, analytical, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
