Senior Manager, Use of ICT (Charities)
The Department
Reporting to Deputy Executive Manager, Charities, the job holder will manage and coordinate the overall planning, to oversee and manage the IT operations within the department. This will involve serving as a liaison between our department and the central Corporate IT team, ensuring our IT needs are met efficiently and effectively, while aligning with the broader IT strategies and policies of the organization.
The Job
- Support Charites & Community Department, in defining IT requirements for project initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational IT standards and capabilities.
- Working with program team, facilitate the development of proper project plans, management process and tools that support effective and efficient project results, especially in the aspects of risk management & compliance, procurement & logistics, use of ICT.
- Provide professional input to programme team to define and maintain project management standards among all Use of ICT project, especially in the aspects of risk management & compliance, procurement & logistics, use of ICT.
- Make recommendations needed to assure project quality and ensure they are in line with the project objectives and timelines, especially in the aspects of risk management & compliance, procurement & logistics, use of ICT.
- Identify and provide appropriate methodologies, guidelines and tools to program team to manage projects in an effective and professional manner, especially in the aspects of risk management & compliance, procurement & logistics, use of ICT.
- Supervise SPOR Use of ICT members and develop staff capabilities.
- Carry out other duties as directed by the Head of Charities and the Executive Director of Charities and Community.
About You
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years' experience in project and event management or marketing with at least 5 years in managerial level, management of large-scale/complex projects that involved multiple partners/stakeholders, and relevant experience in community/social service. Knowledge in ICT is preferable.
- Strong project management skills
- Cross disciplinary/ sectorial stakeholder management skills
- Solid experience in social service/community service
- Team leadership and people development experiences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in both English and Chinese writing
- Knowledge in ICT as well as mega technology trends (eg 5G, IoT, Big Data, AI) and the respective applications in local/regional context
