Senior Member Marketing Communication Officer (1-year renewable contract)

Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

The Division

The Membership and Customer Excellence (MCE) Division is responsible for delivering world-class experiences and deepening engagement across all customer segments. The team oversees operations of clubhouses, racecourses, and Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs), while enhancing member and owner value propositions and promoting interest in horse ownership and equestrian sports. It leads the Club’s customer experience strategy across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring consistency, agility, and excellence. The Division also manages data strategy and governance to build a unified view of customers, enabling more personalised and impactful interactions.

The Job

  • Digital Engagement & Platform Support
    • Update and publish digital content through the Members’ Hub, Members’ App and eDM systems, ensuring accuracy and visual consistency.
    • Track and report on engagement metrics (e.g., open rates, click-throughs, page views) to inform content planning.
    • Contribute to the testing and improvement of digital publishing tools and templates.
  • Content & Campaign Collaboration
    • Partner with internal teams to align editorial and digital content with ongoing campaigns and events.
    • Assist in developing creative content ideas that support Member engagement initiatives and Club storytelling.
    • Support the execution of cross-platform content campaigns, from brief to delivery, ensuring smooth coordination between teams.
  • Editorial Production & Coordination
    • Support the Manager in planning and producing editorial content across BADGESBADGES Edit, and the Members’ Hub.
    • Coordinate inputs from internal contributors, subject experts, and external writers, ensuring timely content submission and publication.
    • Edit, proofread, and prepare English and Traditional Chinese content for digital and print use, maintaining tone, accuracy, and brand alignment.
    • Maintain the editorial production calendar and assist with approvals, translations, and stakeholder communications.
  • Editorial Governance & Brand Consistency
    • Uphold editorial and brand guidelines across all Member communications.
    • Support copyright compliance, fact-checking, and content approvals in coordination with relevant departments.
    • Ensure bilingual accuracy and cultural appropriateness across content touchpoints.

About You

You should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in editorial, content marketing, publishing, or digital media production.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English and Traditional Chinese.
  • Hands-on experience with eDM platforms, and digital publishing workflows.
  • Familiarity with member engagement tactics, lifestyle content, or hospitality communications preferred.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and adherence to brand and quality standards.
