Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Division
The Finance Division is a key business partner, balancing oversight with support. With uncompromising integrity at its core, the division works proactively and collaboratively to deliver insights, enable solutions, and drive financial stewardship, contributing to the Club’s sustainable growth, operational excellence, and long-term success.
The Department
Our Treasury Department is responsible for managing the Club's short-term financial assets and liquidity, including cash flow management, debt instruments and treasury-related operations. The team also plays a critical role in supporting the Club's horseracing operations by ensuring timely and efficient funding on racedays.
As the Club continues to expand and evolve to meet the growing business and customer needs, Treasury is taking on an expanded and increasingly proactive role in delivering high-quality services to stakeholders. We are seeking a self-motivated and dedicated individual to join our team to support our growing operational requirements.
The Job
- Operate the Cashier Office, handling payments, deposits, reimbursements, and customer enquiries while ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing
- Provide professional and efficient support in responding to customer enquiries
- Handle dividend prize payouts at Head Office
- Assist in the preparation of daily operational reports, account reconciliations, bank deposits, monthly journal entries and management reports
- Support race meeting operations by preparing cash floats, coordinating coin sorting activities and assisting in the deployment and coordination of part-time staff
- Perform raceday duties, including cash distribution and supervising clerical staff in cash handling operations
- Assist in treasury administration, process improvement initiatives, and ad hoc assignments as required to facilitate the Club's business operations
About You
- A Diploma, Higher Diploma, or tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in cash collection and disbursement, preferably gained in banking, financial institutions or large organizations
- Strong integrity, accountability and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in common computer applications
- Experience in handling foreign currency transactions and cash operations would be an advantage
- The ability to work independently and effectively under pressure, particularly during race meetings and peak operational periods
