The Division - Membership & Customer Excellence (MCE)
The Membership and Customer Excellence (MCE) Division is responsible for delivering world-class experiences and deepening engagement across all customer segments. The team oversees operations of clubhouses, racecourses, and Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs), while enhancing member and owner value propositions and promoting interest in horse ownership and equestrian sports. It leads the Club’s customer experience strategy across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring consistency, agility, and excellence. The Division also manages data strategy and governance to build a unified view of customers, enabling more personalised and impactful interactions.
The Job
- Assist to establish concepts & goals for all events, activities and marketing (EAM) programmes and operation with Sports & Leisure, align & oversee the running of the department by ensuring smooth operations and provision of the highest quality product.
- Manage all EAM with supporting data driven metrics through closely monitoring the quality of delivery, clients’ attendance and feedback; maintain high level of customer care with a particular focus on participation Y on Y.
- Work with the supervisors/trainers/instructors to design and promote appropriate EAM programmes that cater for the respective needs of different Member user groups and segments.
- Report to the manager on the monthly revenue and performance of EAM against budget projections; take effective measures to attain the department’s KPIs regarding Members’ satisfaction ratings, EAM utilization, revenues from different sources develop and implement corrective measures and improvement initiatives as required for next and future EAM.
- Coordinate, prepare and check required equipment and other facilities required for EAM ensuring that everything is in excellent working condition.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, health and safety during EAM to comply with the statutory requirements and the Sports & Leisure standards to reduce the chances of injury sustained by Members and staff and minimise liability borne by the Club.
- Assist in administering Sports & Leisure supply and procurement activities; liaise with equipment suppliers, purchasing giveaways, manufacturers and related sports and leisure businesses to engage potential sponsorships.
- Work with the Managers to recommend marketing strategies and develop plans to generally promote Sports & Leisure, and specifically Gym and GX subscriptions and promotion of fitness programmes, Massage based on market research or studies to increase usage and maximise income potential; organize marketing campaigns, events, seminars and promotional activities as needed.
- Handle complaints and incidents including accidents, emergencies or theft in a professional manner
- Prepare monthly reports on all EAM operational performance and incidents; lead administrative functions of the department.
- Perform any other related duties as and when assigned by supervisor.
About You
- A Diploma or Degree in the EAM Sports / Recreation or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience, including 1 year at managerial level.
- Sound knowledge of EAM management.
- Fluency in both written and spoken Cantonese and English, and proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
- Customer centric, sociable and people-oriented.
- Good business acumen and marketing programming.
