Facilities Manager (Happy Valley Racecourse)
Job Summary
The job is in the Property Section and the job holder is a support manager reporting directly to Senior Facilities Services Manager.
Major work scope includes directing subordinate officers and coordinate facilities support services program to ensure the compliance with the latest standards and regulations. Conducting inspections of facilities, directing and monitoring the daily activities, and establishing effective working relationships with the internal department users and contractors.
The Job
You will:
- Assist the Senior Facilities Services Manager for planning, implementing and maintaining the facility services at the Happy Valley Racecourse to ensure a hygienic and well equipped environment for users on race days and non race days
- Train and lead a large team of in- house attendants and outsourcing contractors to ensure that facilities services are delivered effectively and efficiently and to achieve continuous improvement
- Supervise, develop and train the team to ensure the facilities services are delivered to achieve service level agreements and key performance indicators
- Review, establish and implement operation and service standards, and manpower deployment, including work procedures, performance benchmarking and manpower restructuring
- Monitor the performance of contractors and ensure that services rendered are met within the required standards and time frame
- Assist to prepare annual budgeting, capital work programs and operating budgets for various facilities, and to monitor expenses so as to maintain within budgets
- Prepare monthly management reports and other ad hoc projects as assigned by Senior Facilities Services Manager
- Coordinate with Project team and technical team for defects rectification and improvement
- Perform race day duty
About You
You should have:
- A degree / higher diploma in property management/ facilities management or related disciplines
- At least 15 years solid experience in facilities/property management of which 6 years should be at managerial level
- Knowledge of best practice in facility management and its related Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators
