The Division - Membership & Customer Excellence (MCE)

The Membership and Customer Excellence (MCE) Division is responsible for delivering world-class experiences and deepening engagement across all customer segments. The team oversees operations of clubhouses, racecourses, and Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs), while enhancing member and owner value propositions and promoting interest in horse ownership and equestrian sports. It leads the Club’s customer experience strategy across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring consistency, agility, and excellence. The Division also manages data strategy and governance to build a unified view of customers, enabling more personalised and impactful interactions.

The Job

  • Patrol all areas of the facility ensuring that all areas are being used in the correct manner and make appropriate adjustments as necessary.
  • Monitor pool-related activities closely throughout shift and observe the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual or unsafe activities, and swimmers who demonstrate difficulty.
  • Take measures to prevent accidents, including cautioning swimmers regarding unsafe areas, warning swimmers who are creating unsafe environment, handling discipline situations appropriately with courtesy and fairness.
  • Rescue swimmers in distress swiftly whenever required; administer first-aid to the injured; apply artificial resuscitation; call for emergency assistance when necessary; and complete related reports as required.
  • Ensure that a high level of safety, cleanliness and hygiene is maintained throughout the facility at all times.
  • Enforce the pool rules in an appropriate, fair and equitable manner and explain the rationale for the rules when needed.
  • Check the safety of equipment in areas of responsibility and report any damage or malfunction of equipment or facilities to the supervisor immediately; perform various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a safe and tidy facility.
  • Assist the supervisor in the assembly and dismantling of equipment and performing minor repairs when required, and maintaining the activity areas and stores in a clean, tidy and safe manner.
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service ensuring a high level of member satisfaction and safety through effective communication, and provide assistance to members as needed, without compromising the safety of others when using the pool.
  • Handle and record lost property in line with the SOP.
  • Attend regular lifeguard and safety training and undertake other training required by supervisor to ensure ongoing personal development and compliance with the professional requirements.
  • Monitor weather reports closely (if the situation so requires) to ensure safety of swimmer.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

About You

  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience, excellent in swimming
  • Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques and first aid treatment
  • Knowledge of pool equipment and maintenance, swimming pool sanitation and chlorination systems
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations governing conduct of swimmers at pools
  • Holder of First aid and Lifesaving certificates.
