Job Summary

The job holder is fully responsible for and in charge of preparing a variety of food for guests. Conduct their duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the club's policies and procedures, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained.

The Job

You will

Be conversant with individual menu items, including basic ingredients, methods of preparation, and presentation style.
Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness, ensuring tools are in good condition.
Taste and examine food prepared for freshness and required quality.
Set up the section as required by the Supervisor, ensuring it is checked before service.
Be responsible for minimizing food wastage.
Attend and comprehend all information discussed at pre-function service briefing sessions.
Be aware that personal appearance and hygiene are important requirements, aiming for a healthy, professional, and natural appearance in both uniform and personal appearance.
Be punctual, efficient, and courteous, maintaining a pleasing and helpful attitude towards each guest; never speak loudly to other team members.
Serve all food in a friendly and professional manner.
Be pro-actively involved in the Club's operations, keeping up-to-date with events within the Club.
Ensure compliance with all relevant Workplace Health and Safety and Occupational Health and Safety rules.
Follow the food safety program and ensure all associates have a working knowledge of the program, assisting them in the performance of their duties.
Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

About You

You should have

Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position with prestigious hotels or restaurants.
Experience in Chinese cuisine food production.

Terms of Employment

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
