Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Division - Membership & Customer Excellence (MCE)
The Membership and Customer Excellence (MCE) Division is responsible for delivering world-class experiences and deepening engagement across all customer segments. The team oversees operations of clubhouses, racecourses, and Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs), while enhancing member and owner value propositions and promoting interest in horse ownership and equestrian sports. It leads the Club’s customer experience strategy across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring consistency, agility, and excellence. The Division also manages data strategy and governance to build a unified view of customers, enabling more personalised and impactful interactions.
The Department
Our Catering Department manages one of the largest and most diverse catering operations in Hong Kong. We provide a wide range of catering, sports and recreation facilities for Members and their guests in three Clubhouses. In addition, both Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses have numerous catering facilities used by Members, non-members and corporate organizations for a variety of functions.
The Job
- Guide clients through proper exercising techniques and body alignment to minimize the risk of injury and achieve maximum results.
- Observe, communicate, and provide feedback to clients on their progress; motivate and encourage them through positive reinforcement while teaching them how to improve their technique.
- Assist clients in reaching their fitness and health goals while ensuring appropriateness based on their current physical abilities.
- Listen to client feedback to understand their opinions and concerns; refer clients to other in-house fitness professionals when necessary.
- Explain and enforce all health and safety rules and regulations governing sports and recreational activities and the use of exercise equipment to prevent accidents; report any incidents/accidents and prepare reports as required.
- Ensure the instructional services provided meet the Club's standards; adhere to the Club's policies, operating procedures, and regulations of the fitness facilities.
- Maintain the fitness gym in a clean, safe, and organized manner; ensure that fitness equipment and tools are in safe and good working condition and report to management when repairs are needed.
- Administer emergency first aid, wrap injuries, treat minor chronic disabilities, and refer injured clients to physicians as needed.
- Keep up-to-date with fitness information and skills; apply the latest fitness training techniques and offer updated programs to clients.
- Work with managers and supervisors to recommend business and marketing strategies and programs related to fitness training that aim to promote and expand our services.
About You
- Certified Personal Trainer possessing ACSM, AFAA, NASM, ISSA, or ACE (for PT post only) OR certified in Les Mills program, Yoga, Pilates, Spinning, Kick Boxing, or Martial Arts.
- Valid CPR and AED certification.
- A minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
