Senior Manager, Insurance
Job Summary
Job focus on the implementation of an effective project management standard to all strategic projects within the Club, and the rollout of the revised Club-wide Enterprise Risk Management Framework. They serves as the Project Management Office for the Club's major Strategic Programmes and Projects. Its activities range from project execution, technical check and balance, creation of Operating Models and Project Risk Management. Projects that PRM are currently involved in include: SP2: Conghua Racecourse Phase 2 & Second Customer Access Road, Sha Tin Stables Refurbishment and Equine Quarantine Station -MME/MLCP Phase 2: Expansion of the Sha Tin Racecourse Main Members Entrance ("MME") drop-off area with a new Canopy and full renovation of the MME Lobby interior and JC Box Lobby -SP14b Penfold Park: Stormwater Drainage Improvements and Penfold Park Community Project -IT Operations Building: Happy Valley and Sha Tin Data Centre Migration -Shan Kwong Road Sports Complex Redevelopment They have the responsibility of either directly managing these projects for Scope, Schedule, Cost and Risk, or acting as a second line function. The job requires to enable in a structured, consistent and holistic Club-wide management of risk to provide advance warning to management of the potential deviation from business objectives. Insurance Services protects the Club against the financial consequences of accidental losses in the following ways:
1. Maintain and services the Club's existing insurance structure.
2. Improves efficiency and expands risk transfer opportunities through function led initiatives across the Club.
3. Educates and collaborates across the Club as an advisory and service led function. The job ensures an appropriate balance between self-insured exposure, premiums and other insurance related costs.
Major Tasks
- Maintain and service the Club's existing insurance structure.
- Execute renewal of all Club wide insurance programmes, including policies for CRC and subsidiaries/related entities.
- Ensure all current coverages align with business requirements.
- Oversee management of Club's insurance claims, including complex claims.
- Answer all queries concerning insurance from business units and subsidiaries/related entities
- Improves efficiency and expands risk transfer opportunities through function led initiatives across the Club.
- Identify emerging risks and periodically assess current uninsured areas
- Regularly review placement structure(s) and propose amendments to self-retained exposure where appropriate
- Identify new initiatives to improve efficiencies across the Club
- Educates and collaborates across the Club as an advisory and service led function.
- Maintain connectivity and relationships with key stakeholders Club wide, keeping informed with all business units and subsidiaries/related entities
- Educate key stakeholders and promote collaboration
- Provide training to all Club employees to enable effective insurance management.
