The Division
The Property Department is committed to providing integrated, customer-centric, sustainable and cost effective asset management, development management, project management and facilities management services to the key Business Units in the Club.
Job Summary
The role is to support the FM team for planning, operating, and maintaining all AV, ELV, Racing, and minor IT systems at Happy Valley Racecourse. This includes ensuring systems meet safety and technical standards, supporting AV operations for events, and supervising technical staff during race meetings to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations. The position also support Manager and Multi Media team on minor improvement works to ensure facilities remain functional, safe, and cost effective
The Job
- Operate & Maintain Facilities - Manage and continually improve AV, ELV, Racing, and minor IT systems to ensure they are always ready for race and non race day use
- Manage Facilities Operations - Oversee resource planning, maintenance services, staff coaching, and training. Continuously review operations, manpower deployment, and service standards for better efficiency.
- Emergency & Crisis Management - Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance plans and emergency response procedures to minimize operational disruptions.
- Maintenance Program Execution - Lead preventive and corrective maintenance work to ensure quick and effective responses to system failures.
- Service Standards & SLA Management - Regular review SLAs & KPIs, oversee SOP quality to ensure reliable services, clearer expectations, better operational planning, improved user satisfaction, and continuous performance improvement for all stakeholders.
- Budgeting & Procurement - Support manager to prepare and manage annual and capital budgets. Ensure compliance in tendering, contracting, procurement, and payment processes.
- Contractor & Consultant Management - Engage, coordinate, and supervise external service providers to ensure quality, budget compliance, and timely delivery.
- Technical Advisory & Minor Works - Review the design criteria of improvement, prepare technical documents, and monitor progress of minor works.
- Leadership & Change Management - Support to develop the new Maximo systems by motivate the team, review performance, and drive improvements through data collection and analysis.
- Provide in-house training to the team - Support to conduct regular refresher workshops on AV, ELV, Racing systems, and minor IT systems operation and troubleshooting; race day critical system failures to improve response speed, and cross training modules so staff can cover each other during peak operations or emergencies.
- Technology Integration - Adopt new technologies to improve reliability, operations, sustainability, and resource efficiency in facilities management.
About You
- A High Diploma holder or above in Electronics/Computer Science/Multi-Media or equivalent.
- Professional qualification of relevant disciplines gained from recognized professional bodies will be advantaged.
- A minimum of five years of relevant work experience of which at least five years in supervisory level.
- Sound technical skills and experience in leading/managing complex building operations, maintenance and assets upkeep.
- Good leadership, organizational, managerial, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, facilitation, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and communications with key stakeholders including colleagues within Property, other departments and divisions in the Club, external government departments, consultants, contractors, AV vendors and suppliers.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations on AV, RF, and building to a thorough appreciation of consultants, contractors and suppliers.
