Maintenance Technician I (Electrical)

The Division

The Property Department is committed to providing integrated, customer-centric, sustainable and cost effective asset management, development management, project management and facilities management services to the key Business Units in the Club.

Job Summary

Provide repair and maintenance services for electrical supply equipment at Jockey Club properties and premises, and monitor and report on contractor work quality to ensure compliance with the Club’s guidelines.

The Job

  • Responsible for the maintenance and operation of UPS (uninterruptible power systems), generators, power supply systems, switchboards, track floodlights, and indoor banquet‑hall dimmer systems at Club properties.
  • Monitor and report contractor service and operational progress, coordinate repair‑related work, and ensure compliance with the Club’s guidelines.
  • Perform other property‑related duties as assigned by the Club.
  • Required to be on duty on race days and to work overtime in case of emergencies.
  • Shift work is required.

About You

  • Certificate/Diploma in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, or completion of a recognised electrical apprenticeship, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Registered Electrical Worker (REW) Grade B and holder of a valid Green Card.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in operating and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment; experience in switchboard maintenance will be an advantage
  • Basic computer literacy.
