Assistance Technical Services Manager (Public Riding School - MEP)

Job Summary

The primary purpose of this job is to plan, implement and supervise the operation and maintenance of buildings, fixture & fittings, mechanical & electrical plant & A/V & minor IT facilities or equipment and facilities management-soft services such as cleaning services, security guarding services, landscaping services and pest control services in Public Riding Schools (Tuen Mun Public Riding School, Lei Yue Mun Public Riding School and Pok Fu Lam Public Riding School) ensuring all installations are engineered to optimum technical and safety standards, and in case of minor addition, replacement and improvement works, contribute and implement his design so that users have functionally suitable, safe, efficient and cost effective premises in which to operate.

 

To supervise a team of technical staff to ensure all facilities in good condition for smooth in Public Riding Schools.

 

The Job

You will:

  • Operate, maintain & improve the substantial building installations for the Public Riding Schools (Tuen Mun Public Riding School, Lei Yue Mun Public Riding School and Pok Fu Lam Public Riding School) and ensure all the building installations are available for their intended use such that other departments' needs are met
  • Plan and maintain round the clock operation of all building installations to ensure that they are operated safely and efficiently in accordance with the statutory requirements
  • Organize, develop, train and supervise a team with diverse trade of staff to ensure the technical services are delivered effectively and cost efficiently. Constant review the operations, service standards and manpower deployment including work methods, performance benchmarking and manpower re-engineering
  • Direct and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs so that remedial actions can be taken immediately and effectively to ensure that the business operations are not critically affected
  • Assist in conducting annual asset condition reviews, preparing annual budgets, capital works programs and operating budgets for the building installations and to ensure expenses are maintained within budgets
  • Engage and co-ordinate consultants and contractors and supervise their work to ensure their services are rendered competently, within budget and program according to service level determined
  • Act as in-house consultant to establish design criteria, directs the preparation of technical drawings, specifications, tender documents and monitors work progress for minor alterations, additions and improvement works
  • Handle staff conflict and complaint. Motivate staff to perform

 

About You

You should have:

  • A degree in building services or electrical / mechanical engineering and should be preferably a professionally qualified engineer (e.g. HKIE, CIBSE, IFMA, IMechE & IEE)
  • A minimum of eight years of facilities or property experience and be conversant with building, building services, mechanical and electrical engineering technology
  • Experience in facilities management in properties

 

Terms of Employment

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
