Assistant Event Planning Manager

The Division - Membership & Customer Excellence (MCE)

The Membership and Customer Excellence (MCE) Division is responsible for delivering world-class experiences and deepening engagement across all customer segments. The team oversees operations of clubhouses, racecourses, and Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs), while enhancing member and owner value propositions and promoting interest in horse ownership and equestrian sports. It leads the Club’s customer experience strategy across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring consistency, agility, and excellence. The Division also manages data strategy and governance to build a unified view of customers, enabling more personalised and impactful interactions.

The Job

• Responsible for leading the Chinese family dining restaurant operations to ensure that KPIs and business performance of the restaurant are achieved consistently, and that high standards of food, service and health & safety are maintained.

• Providing leadership and direction to staff in delivering excellent service in line with membership service pillars.

• Work closely with the Manager, Food & Beverage, Chief Cook and Head Sommelier on food promotions, marketing programming, cost effective and seasonal menu planning.

• Maintaining and managing the equipment, furniture and fixtures, and resources and assets, initiating requisitions to protect property health while adhere to the budgeted expenses.

• Supervising and coaching the restaurant staff to perform in accordance with compliance / SOP requirements and service standards.

• Building a team of F&B professionals by providing professional development, counselling and coaching.

• Preparing, recommending and managing the department operation reports, budget, forecast, and business proposals

About You

• Substantial relevant experience in related restaurants in prestigious hotels or clubs with a minimum of 5 years experience at a managerial level

• Good leadership skills with strong initiatives to interact with customers

• Good communication skills in both English and Chinese

• Hands-on experience of MS Office applications
