Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

The Division

The Racing Division is committed to managing all aspects of Hong Kong’s world-class sport of horse racing, covering the full value chain — from importation and training to racedays, equestrian, welfare, integrity, and international engagement. With Conghua Racecourse and Greater Bay Area expansion, we’re shaping racing into a dynamic sporting, social, and entertainment experience.

The Department

The Equestrian Affairs Department aims to fulfil the Club’s vision to promote riding as a sport and raise participation at all levels, from beginner through to elite. It oversees the management of four equestrian centres, including the Member’s facility at the Beas River Country Centre and three public riding schools at Tuen Mun, Pok Fu Lam and Lei Yue Mun. 

The Job (Vary by Roles) 

Equestrian Rider & Coach

• Retrain and school horses
• Deliver lessons & support livery clients
  

Qualification requirements: BHS Stage 3+ (or equivalent)

Performance Jumping Coach

• Lead show jumping & youth squads training
• Coach riders & develop competition horses
  

Qualification requirements: 1.40m experience | BHS Performance Coach / BHSI

Assistant Manager, Riding School

• Oversee operations, safety & welfare
• Deliver lessons, school horses & manage events
  

Qualification requirements: BHS Stage 4 (or equivalent)

(Senior) Equestrian Coach

• High‑quality lessons & schooling
  

Qualification requirements: BHS Stage 4 (Senior) / BHS Stage 3 (Coach)

About You

• Coaching experience (all ages & levels)
• Strong background in training horses
• Customer centered
• First Aid & safeguarding knowledge
• Fluent English
