Job Summary

The Human Resources Department formulates people strategies to support its business partners to meet their business goals and objectives. The department aims to ensure a fit between the people and the overall strategic direction of the Club.

The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is responsible for designing, delivering, and managing training programmes aligned with the Club’s competency models and development needs. This includes leveraging modern learning technologies, such as AI-driven tools and blended learning approaches, to enhance accessibility, engagement, and personalisation. The job holder will oversee the L&D process, from Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) to programme design, delivery, and evaluation, ensuring initiatives address skill gaps and support business strategies. He/She provides advice and collaborates with stakeholders to identify L&D priorities, managing various levels of training programmes.  The job holder plays a critical role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across the Club.

Major Tasks

  • Design and deliver high-quality learning and development training programmes aligned with the Club’s competency models and employees' development needs. Ensure training content is tailored to address skill gaps and support business strategies.
  • Utilise modern learning technologies, including AI-driven tools, and blended learning approaches, to enhance programme accessibility, engagement, and personalisation. Continuously explore and implement cutting-edge solutions to keep the Club at the forefront of L&D innovation.
  • Manage the L&D process, from Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) to the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning initiatives. Utilise data, performance metrics, and employee feedback to shape L&D priorities and measure impact.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and HR teams to identify learning and development priorities, and recommend innovative, impactful solutions. Ensure L&D initiatives align with broader organisational goals and support overall people development strategies.
  • Support the programme for middle managers, ensuring timely coordination, evaluating its effectiveness and engaging with trainers to drive ongoing enhancements.
  • Monitor and collaborate with the L&D team to ensure compliance with post-audit actions, providing guidance and ensuring timely follow-through on corrective measures.
  • Oversee the new HoD+ integration programme to ensure smooth onboarding of new leaders.
  • Partner with Talent Management on the “Executive Leadership in Action Programme” training workshops. 
  • Supervise 1 staff member.
  • Lead or actively contribute to the development and implementation of L&D-related projects and initiatives. 

Experience

  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience with sizeable organisations.
  • Superb track record in developing and delivering training programmes up to management levels.
  • Familiar with traditional and modern training design, tools and processes.
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage team members.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Learning agility and flexibility to work with different stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (proficient in Putonghua will be an advantage)
