The Division
The Security, Integrity and Information Security (SIIS) Division is responsible for the Club’s integrity by combatting criminality, corruption, and information security risks, including cyber security that may impact business. Through robust governance and proactive security measures, SIIS is dedicated to maintaining a secure environment and upholding uncompromising integrity across Club operations.
Job Summary
The examination of illegal betting markets and trends is a core component of IFCR in order to support the Club’s market understanding of the markets in which it operates, as well as for the Club’s lobbying initiatives.
To this end, the Club has been a core supporter of the ARF and now the IFHA Council, whose purpose is to foster and enhance international cooperation among horse racing operators, regulators, intergovernmental organisations, government agencies and NGOs in order to better combat the threat of illegal betting and other financial crime risks to horse racing integrity in particular, and sport in general.
This position is a core member of the secretariat of the IFHA Council. The position is a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual who will lead the administration to ensure efficient operation of the IFHA Council, manage communications, schedule meetings, handle documentation, and assist with event coordination. This role requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work in a fast-paced intellectual environment.
The position reports to the Executive Manager, International Illegal Betting Research and Liaison and has a dotted line reporting to the Chairperson of the Council (who will provide input to the primary manager for performance appraisals).
The Job
- Manage the publication of Council bulletins and standalone reports including author management, review & proofreading (with support from the Director), formatting, and dissemination
- Support the Council Director in preparing materials such as reports, presentation slides for Executive Council and stakeholder engagement presentations as required to highlight the Council’s work and impact
- Support as necessary in the research, creation, publication and dissemination of the Council’s quarterly sports competition manipulation reports, as well as other Council reports
- Manage the Council’s membership database and subscriber list to ensure that they are updated on a regular basis
- Assist the Council Secretariat to develop and expand the Council’s membership database and subscriber list to increase the Council’s geographical reach
- Project-manage all work streams of the Council dedicated to raising stakeholder awareness of illegal betting and related crime, including documenting agreed actions, deliverables, timelines, milestones, and following up with responsible action owners
- Coordinate external stakeholder engagement meetings, including preparing all agendas in consultation with the Council Chair, creating and circulating briefing slides, minutes and other meeting materials, and holds all parties responsible for deliverables
- Ensure all necessary materials such as bulletins, reports, and press releases are uploaded onto the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities website as well as social media pages to position the Council as globally recognised thought leader in AIB and related crime and sport integrity matters including translation into relevant languages
About You
- A degree in a field demonstrating such skills such as communications, economics, law, marketing, business administration
- At least four years’ experience managing corporate secretarial and/or administrative duties at a major international organisation and/or for senior executives
- Proven ability in project or event organisation and communication with senior professionals with global backgrounds
- Exceptional inter-personal skills and emotional intelligence
- Strong project management and communication skills. Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently
- Comfortable coordinating multiple workstreams and working with senior stakeholders
