Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. The Division - Membership & Customer Excellence (MCE)
The Membership and Customer Excellence (MCE) Division is responsible for delivering world-class experiences and deepening engagement across all customer segments. The team oversees operations of clubhouses, racecourses, and Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs), while enhancing member and owner value propositions and promoting interest in horse ownership and equestrian sports. It leads the Club’s customer experience strategy across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring consistency, agility, and excellence. The Division also manages data strategy and governance to build a unified view of customers, enabling more personalised and impactful interactions.
The Job
- Supervise the team and maintain facilities to ensure high standards of condition and service quality, enhancing the customer experience.
- Build strong relationships with customers, addressing complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
- Conduct research and analyze usage statistics to recommend improvements for programs and facility management.
- Ensure compliance with club standards and standard operating procedures, providing training to staff as necessary.
- Implement safety measures in accordance with club guidelines to protect members and guests.
- Assist in managing departmental budgets and monitor expenses to meet set targets.
- Prepare duty rosters and monitor staff performance, addressing any irregularities with supervisors.
- Conduct periodic compliance checks to ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
- Support annual planning activities, including asset reviews and budget preparation.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
About You
- A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in recreation, facility management, or property management.
- A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a managerial role within the leisure, recreation, or facility management sectors.
- A degree in Recreation Management, Facility Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience in pool management is preferred
- Strong leadership, excellent interpersonal skills with initiatives to interact with customers and staff
- Customer focused, excellent people management practices, attitude and a good team player
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese.
