Senior Bartender - Racecourses
Job Summary
The job holder shall assist to support the daily operations and serve the beverage offerings in the Bar ensuring business and customer service objectives and targets are achieved consistently. He/she is responsible for providing consistent, high quality beverage and service to our customers including but not limited to Members and their guests; maintaining high level of hygiene and quality standard for the bar according to the club's and the requirements of relevant government departments; keeping the service standard at top quality and achieve high level of customer satisfaction; and creating classic and innovative recipes exceeding customers' needs and expectations. He/she shall assist in optimizing revenue via ensuring the right products are sold to the right customers at the right time and for the right price, and cleaning all glasswares, utensils and equipment and maintaining the cleanliness of the bar area.
Major Tasks
- Greet customers, present bar menu, answer all related inquires, respond to customers' requests promptly in a polite and professional fashion, make recommendation, upsell items and inform them about new beverages and specials, take drink orders (from serving staff or directly from customers) and record orders accurately into register system - ensuring extreme attention is paid to detail
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, and ensure food is served at the correct temperature (e.g. hot dishes are hot); work closely with related staff on matters pertaining to wine and cocktail service
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard menus or mix and garnish cocktails based on standard specs and serve beverages to customers
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations; check identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age in case of queries
- Maintain a clear work and dining area by removing trash, clean tables and wash glasses, utensils and equipment keep sanitary environment at high standard
- Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests, and arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays
- Slice, pit, and prepare fruit garnishes for drink
- Prepare and serve appetisers, snacks, or other food items for customers at the bar
- Take inventory of liquor, wine, beer, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware and other accessories, and order supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked
