The Division

The Racing Division is committed to managing all aspects of Hong Kong’s world-class sport of horse racing, covering the full value chain — from importation and training to racedays, equestrian, welfare, integrity, and international engagement. With Conghua Racecourse and Greater Bay Area expansion, we’re shaping racing into a dynamic sporting, social, and entertainment experience.

The Department

The Broadcasting Operations team is responsible for live coverage of horse racing in Hong Kong, production of related promotional video, formatting betting and racing-related information into TV graphic displays and documentaries for on-air at TV stations as well as display on the giant display screens and closed-circuit TV network at the racecourses.

The Job

• Operate the Photo-finish system and assist Judges in determining race results during a local race meeting
• Distribute race finish photos to various platforms including live TV channels, LED walls, websites and Stewards Room
• Oversee the normal operations of the photo-finish control room and judges’ box at both Shatin Racecourse and Happy Racecourse
• Perform pre-race preparation and system checking which complies with 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems
• Provide and support for non-raceday morning trackwork operation
• Provide and support Photo-finish system development at Conghua Racecourse, Mainland China 
• Undertakes other duties as assigned by line manager
• Manage Part-time staff training and operations
• Ensures compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy (RGP) and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club’s business

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, languages, advertising, multi-media, video production or photography-related disciplines
• A minimum of 3 years’ solid photo-taking or video production experience
• ISO:9001-2015 related working experience is an advantage
• Experience in live broadcasting operations is preferred
• Good communication skills with proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
• Equipped with high integrity, self-discipline, energy, teamwork attitude, good time management and interpersonal skills with willingness to learn
• Knowledge and interest in horse racing an advantage
• Willing to travel to Mainland China
