The Department
The Membership and Customer Excellence (MCE) Division is responsible for delivering world-class experiences and deepening engagement across all customer segments. The team oversees operations of clubhouses, racecourses, and Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs), while enhancing member and owner value propositions and promoting interest in horse ownership and equestrian sports. It leads the Club’s customer experience strategy across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring consistency, agility, and excellence. The Division also manages data strategy and governance to build a unified view of customers, enabling more personalised and impactful interactions.
The Job
- Supports the line manager in delivering user-centred digital experiences across the Club's range of digital channels, including mobile app, website, e-commerce and cross-media platforms
- Takes the Product Owner role or assists the Chief Product Owner under the agility framework to map the persona, develop epics and user stories, front-end user requirements and non-functional requirements for the Club's digital transformation on the wagering customer journey and digital experiences, based on management's direction, input from customer behaviour research, customer feedback and wagering product teams
- Works closely with business users to understand business objectives, gather requirements and translate them into a desirable digital solution
- Conveys the product requirements and liaises with IT and/or external vendors; Evaluates their solution, deliverables, and product quality, especially on the front-end experience, and deals with the gap
- Manages the project scope and delivery schedule, including product backlog prioritisation; potential risks identification and mitigation
- Manages and participates in various product development activities, including user research, needs-finding research, conceptual validation, UX/UI design, usability testing and user acceptance testing
- Assesses and analyses usage behaviour and customer experience, and translates findings into an actionable improvements plan; stays abreast of current trends and best practices in the digital industry and technology options; consistently brings in new ideas to increase customer engagement
- Supports DEI's Content Strategy and Management team and other customer front-end teams on product launch, upgrade and Q and A
- Ensures compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy (RGP) and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club's business
- Undertakes other duties as assigned by Line Manager
About You
- Bachelor's degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information System, Multimedia Design, or other relevant disciplines
- PMP certification is highly preferred
- At least 7 years of working experience in consulting, digital solutions, mobile app experience design and technology project management
- Solid product-owner experience within an agile team on digital products implementation; Product Owner / Manager certification under an agile framework is an advantage
- Strong project management skills
- Strong technical know-how and experience in mobile front-end development
- Solid experience in UX/UI design and with a strong understanding of user-centred design
