Assistant Technical Manager, IT Field Services

We design, build, and operate the technology that powers the Club. Our primary focus is on delivering the service that supports our hospitality, racing and wagering operations, to ensure that our customers and members enjoy exceptional experiences.
We also deliver the changes necessary to drive business growth through new products and services. And, we are committed to safeguarding the Club by protecting it from external threats, providing a secure and resilient technological environment.
The Department
The IT Infrastructure and Platform Operations Department is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of the infrastructure that supports the Club’s IT systems, and leads the Service Management capabilities that ensure the smooth running of these systems.
This department ensures that all technological resources operate efficiently and effectively to support business objectives. Key responsibilities include:
- Design and operate processes and controls that ensure IT service availability, performance, and resilience are aligned with business expectations.
- Manage the 24x7 IT Operations Centre.
- Manage the Club’s exploitation of the public cloud.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of the Club’s IT network and the technology within our data centres.
- Provide the roadmaps, standards, and capabilities that enable our IT infrastructure to remain current (eligible for vendor support) and secure (patched and remediated against CVEs).
- Provide the Club’s colleague collaboration technology suite, including desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, collaboration tools, carrier contracts, and associated support functions.
The Job
You will:
- Support manager to oversee operational activities to ensure compliance with policies, standards, processes, and procedures.
- Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and resource allocation
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Coordinate IT services for SP14, office, and OCB renovations
- Plan IT service provisions for wagering, infrastructure, network, and data point requirements
- Coordinate IT services with respective SMEs (e.g. Network, Wagering, Application) and vendors
- Monitor project progress and service delivery to ensure alignment with handover schedules, user expectations, and site readiness
- Provide onsite coordination and verification for infrastructure readiness, equipment installation, and user acceptance
- Assist to develop and oversee the asset management system to track and maintain the lifecycle of equipment and infrastructure across all remote locations
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisor
About You
You should have:
- Higher Diploma in IT related discipline is preferred
- PMP Professional certificate(s) holder is preferable
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello, Asana)
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and Property related parties
- A minimum of 2-years’ relevant experience in project management and renovation related project on IT related area
- Experience working in cross-functional teams or supporting project tasks is valued
- Experience in problem solving and communication skills to update the progress among business users and internal operation team and stakeholders
- Experience in preparing reports, tracking progress, and coordinating tasks
