Betting Control Center Officer
The Department
The Wagering Products (WP) Division is responsible for driving the wagering business strategy and results for the Club through the wagering products of Horse Racing (Local and Overseas), Football, Mark Six lottery and International Commingling with the aim to drive wagering turnover and revenue growth in a socially responsible and sustainable manner.
The job holder is responsible for executing the daily operations of the Betting Operations Control Centre (BOCC) on a 7x24 rostering basis, for the smooth wagering operations including Racing, Sports, and Mark Six.
The Job
You will:
- Work with the team and subordinates in delivery of efficient and uninterrupted services for BOCC
- Operate and/ or administer respective systems to ensure smooth 24x7 operation services
- Handle and follow up irregularities in relation to operational and system issues with respective business units and stakeholders for timely resolution per SOP
- Support to monitor the status of relevant operation systems, and support in establishing preventive measures to ensure business continuity
- Support in operation enhancement initiative projects during requirement consolidation, and to ensure implementation and operation readiness including SOP updates
- Support the daily operations of BOCC by working on roster-based shifts round the clock, including Sundays and public holiday
- Support continuous improvement in operation procedures and practices, and explore new initiatives to enhance service quality
- Ensure highest accuracy of wagering related information received or to be disseminated, through searching the internet and communicating with various information sources
- Ensure assigned targets on operation service delivery are achieved with adherence to the SOP
- Ensure compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club's businesses
- Undertake other duties as assigned by Line Manager
About You
You should have:
- Tertiary education or above
- A minimum of 5 years' working experience at supervisory level, preferably in systems operations control or sizeable call centre environment
- Ability to be dynamic, energetic and self-motivated
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese
- Knowledge of horse racing and football betting an advantage
- Ability to work independently and be willing to work on 24-hr shift and travel to other countries within the region

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
