Betting Operations Assistant (1-Year Contract)
The Department
The Wagering Products (WP) Division is responsible for driving the wagering business strategy and results for the Club through the wagering products of Horse Racing (Local and Overseas), Football, Mark Six lottery and International Commingling with the aim to drive wagering turnover and revenue growth in a socially responsible and sustainable manner.
The job holder is responsible for executing the daily operations of a control centre on a 7x24 rostering basis, supporting smooth wagering operations specifically for Racing, Sports, and Mark Six. His/her duties include ensuring the smooth functioning of the control centre and driving operational efficiency, safety and integrity as well as assisting with the daily operations to maintain an uninterrupted service.
The Job
You will:
- Work with the team and subordinates in delivery of efficient and uninterrupted services
- Operate and/ or administer respective systems to ensure smooth operations services with adherence to the SOP
- Handle and follow up irregularities in relation to operational and system issues with respective business units and stakeholders for timely resolution per SOP
- Support to monitor and/or master the status of relevant operation systems, and support in establishing preventive measures to ensure business continuity
- Support in enhancement and/or new initiative projects during requirement consolidation, and to ensure implementation and operation readiness including SOP updates
- Support the daily operations by working on roster-based shifts round the clock, including Sundays and public holiday
- Support continuous improvement in operation procedures and practices, and explore new initiatives to enhance service quality
- Ensure accuracy of information received or to be disseminated, through searching the reliable internet source and communicating with various information sources
- Ensure compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club's businesses
- Undertake other duties as assigned by Line Manager
About You
You should have:
- Tertiary education or above
- At least 1 year of work experience; clerical experience is an advantage. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Good football and basketball knowledge
- Proficient computer knowledge and skill such as MS Office, Internet surfing, etc.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Chinese
