The Division

The Racing Division is committed to managing all aspects of Hong Kong’s world-class sport of horse racing, covering the full value chain — from importation and training to racedays, equestrian, welfare, integrity, and international engagement.  We’re shaping racing into a dynamic sporting, social, and entertainment experience.

Job Summary

The Trackwork and Simulcast team of Broadcasting Operations is responsible for live coverage of both Local and overseas horse racing in Hong Kong, production of related promotional video, formatting betting and racing-related information into TV graphic displays and documentaries for on-air at TV stations, social media as well as display on the giant display screens and closed-circuit TV network at the racecourses. Candidate should be familiar with local and overseas’ horse racing industry, hands on editing and responsible for overseeing, plan, arrange and execute all production, manpower resources and operations. 

The Job

• Maintain the standard of performance of the team
• Resolve all kinds of issues regarding manpower, services and operations
• Sustain and allocate appropriate manpower and resources for Live operations and project production
• Work closely with team manager for staff training and development of race day and non-race day operations
• Take responsibility to oversee, plan, arrange and execute all Trackwork videos  pre and post-production workflow 
• Take care of all administrative work for the team
• Co-ordinate with other teams or departments to ensure smooth Live or daily operations
• Ensures compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy (RGP) and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club’s business
• Undertakes other duties as assigned by Line Manager

About You

• Bachelor degree in Journalism, Communication, Languages, Advertising, Multi-Media & Video Production or related disciplines
• A minimum of 6 years’ copy-writing experience with advertising agency
• Experience in live broadcast operations preferred
• Good sense of trends and initiative to stay up-to-date, be self-motivated, proactive
• Good communication skills with proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
• Ability to work independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to work long and irregular hours
• Ability to travel frequently to China as operations requires
• Knowledge and interest in horse racing an advantage
