Manager, Customer Growth and Experience (Tourist)

Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

 

The Division

The Customer Strategy, Insights, and Innovation (CSII) Division is dedicated to cultivating customer-centric capabilities across the Club ecosystem and shaping customer strategies that drive business growth. The Division focus on developing the the segment strategy, design products and propositions , including new entertainment offerings to drive target prospect acquisition and strengthen base management.

 

Job Summary

The role focuses on identifying market opportunities, forging strategic collaborations with tourism partners, and designing innovative tourism products that attract visitors. Responsibilities include managing budgets and contracts, coordinating with local stakeholders, and promoting offerings through multiple channels to achieve sales targets and drive profitability.

 

This position requires expertise in sales management, revenue generation, and customer engagement. Key duties include market research and analysis, product development, stakeholder collaboration, and financial oversight. The job holder will set revenue targets, develop and execute sales plans, manage key accounts, and build strong customer relationships. Working closely with internal teams, the role aligns sales strategies with marketing initiatives, monitors performance, analyzes trends, and identifies growth opportunities. Ultimately, this position is critical in driving sales success, maximizing revenue, and fostering long-term customer loyalty.

 

The Job

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the tourist sector. 
  • Create tourist itineraries and packages tailored to visitors’ preferences.
  • Develop targeted market and pricing strategies for visitors packages.
  • Maximize product profitability by analyzing market data, establishing right pricing, and managing distribution channels effectively.
  • Collaborate with various tourism stakeholders to promote racing tourism products.
  • Perform regular performance analysis and reporting to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies and product offerings.

 

About You

  • Univeristy degree holder in marketing and business related disciplines preferably in a hospitality related field. 
  • A minimum of 6-8 years' relevant experience in tourism product development, business development, sales or a related role within the travel and tourism industry. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills to work with a diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously from ideation to launch.
  • Strong network in the hospitality industry.
