Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.
The Division
The Special Project Department leads the integrated Conghua Racecourse (CRC) business strategy, consolidating cross-functional workstreams to build a cohesive, integrated and sustainable business model, enabling CRC to become the foundation of the Club’s long-term development in the Greater Bay Area.
The Job
- Operational Oversight
- Manage day-to-day operations across various sales channels including flagship stores, pavilions, DIY Idosks, and online platforms.
- Implement and monitor opeirational procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- SOP Development
- Lead the development and completion of comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) tailoired for each sales point.
- Regularly review and update SOPs to adapt to changing business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and mentor operational staff to ensure a high-performing team focused on delivering superior customer service.
- Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment that encourages innovation and initiative.
- Customer Experience Enhancement
- Analyze customer feedback and operational data to identify areas for improvement in service delivery.
- Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience across all sales channels.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and logistics teams to align operations witli brand strategy and promotional activities.
- Liaise with external vendors and partners to ensure smooth operational processes.
- Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on operational performance, customer feedback, and service improvements.
- Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and operational excellence.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks including team administration activities as assigned by management.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years experience in retail operations, preferably in an international brand setting.
- Strong understanding of the retail landscape in China.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing SOPs in a retail environment.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Proficient in operational metrics and data analysis.
