Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

We design, build, and operate the technology that powers the Club. Our primary focus is on delivering the service that supports our hospitality, racing and wagering operations, to ensure that our customers and members enjoy exceptional experiences.

The Department

The IT Change Department is crucial for ensuring the successful delivery of all IT change initiatives, whether using agile or waterfall methodologies. It is supported by a robust IT Change Management Office (CMO), which oversees the entire process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Key responsibilities of the IT change department:

  • Change Initiative Delivery

  • PDLC Governance

The Job

  • Govern all IT solutions through the Architecture Design Board (ADB)
  • Produce models to describe the Application Target state in terms of artefacts, principles, frameworks and strategy within the HKJC Reference Architecture
  • Develop and maintain the IT Application roadmap for evolving the Club's Application Landscape, including assignment of application status into strategic, tactical and sunset, as well as the retirement plan for sunset and tactical applications
  • Work alongside the OI planning process to ensure investments align with the application roadmap
  • Review and recommend key services that can be set as standards and reused across other projects
  • Leverage the HKJC Reference Architecture. Shape designs based on strategic business and operating models; provide advice and consultancy on strategy to the solution team
  • Influence and resolve cross-functional issues that result from any new investment and change projects
  • Liaise with solutions architects and application/Services experts to develop design standards
  • Communicate with business stakeholders to map the Business Capabilities to Applications/Services
  • Make sure the solution is compliant with the standard and fits the enterprise's strategic goal
  • Work closely with the Chief Architect and other domain architects (Business, Data, and Technology) for the alignment between different domains
  • Provide advice for the project team to reuse the existing application/services, reduce duplication and align with the reference architecture

About You

  • Graduate qualifications in computer science or engineering
  • Certified by TOGAF
  • 4 years of Enterprise Architecture experience
  • 10 years of application development experience
