Senior Manager, Charities (TSD: Keysteps@JC)
The Department
Reporting to Deputy Executive Manager, the role will be part of the team in managing Trust-Initiated Project (TIP) KeySteps@JC and initiating Grant Making projects or cross-team/territory-wide initiatives related to Early Childhood Development, Education and Talent & Sector Development.
The Job
- Work in partnership with grantees and other strategic partners of the TIP to convene thought leadership and build alignment across all schools and the welfare sector participating in the projects to ensure successful delivery of the project
- Oversee the design, development and implementation of the Project’s intervention and evaluations. Conduct internal and external stakeholders engagement as required to ensure successful delivery of these interventions and evaluations
- Perform the strategic portfolio management by overseeing other Trust supported strategic Early Childhood Development initiatives to amplify impact of the TIP and other related grants. Consolidate learning insights for sharing with relevant stakeholders on a regular basis. Develop new grants as needed to actualise emerging potentials
- Engage and manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery. This includes but not limited to the Club Branding and Public Affairs in strategic communications and promotional campaigns; external consultants responsible for branding, technology experts and/or programme execution, and service providers. Engage government officials to facilitate impact creation and system change
- Develop and implement project governance and controls to ensure effective execution, including managing the advisory committee, supporting partners, and various taskforce groups
- Monitor the progress of anticipated output and outcome, budget spending, handle budget virements and manage project evaluation and impact assessment
About You
- Bachelor’s degree or above with at least 10-12 years of relevant experience, in which 5 years or above at mid-senior level, preferably in the early education, social welfare, public administration, consulting, with knowledge and experience in young children works
- Proven track record and experience managing complex and/or large-scale projects
- Experience in dealing with different stakeholders, such as government officials, district boards, academic public bodies and local foundations
- Demonstrate passion, experience and insight in the changing need of the young generation
- Strong writing proficiency (in English and Chinese)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- Strong personal drive, strategic and innovative mindset and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborative as a team
