Senior Manager, IT Programme Management Governance

We design, build, and operate the technology that powers the Club. Our primary focus is on delivering the service that supports our hospitality, racing and wagering operations, to ensure that our customers and members enjoy exceptional experiences.

We also deliver the changes necessary to drive business growth through new products and services. And, we are committed to safeguarding the Club by protecting it from external threats, providing a secure and resilient technological environment.

The Department

The IT Change Department is crucial for ensuring the successful delivery of all IT change initiatives, whether using agile or waterfall methodologies. It is supported by a robust IT Change Management Office (CMO), which oversees the entire process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Key responsibilities of the IT change department:

  • Change Initiative Delivery
  • Change Management Office
  • Quality Assurance
  • Release Management
  • Portfolio Management
  • PDLC Governance

The Job

You will:

  • Provide cost-effective development of high-quality, reliable, and secure systems to meet business needs across the portfolio
  • Act as a Business Relationship Manager to facilitate planning and delivery of integrated technology solutions and services
  • Formulate sound project proposals and provide input to business initiatives
  • Measure and improve productivity in the solution delivery lifecycle through effective teamwork and deployment
  • Allocate resources to enable project managers to successfully deliver solutions addressing business needs
  • Ensure compliance with project management methodologies and maintain standards for development of lifecycle activities
  • Monitor project budget and ensure adherence to financial constraints throughout the project lifecycle
  • Track and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation plans as necessary
  • Participate in regular project update meetings and provide progress reports to stakeholders
  • Ensure all relevant project documentation is maintained and submitted to the required standards
  • Support the development of a diverse and inclusive culture within the organisation
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency

About You

You should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred
  • At least 10-15 years of work experience in the IT field, including a minimum of 5-10 years in project management roles
  • Proven experience in managing enterprise-wide systems and large-scale IT projects
  • Solid background in high availability and high-performance IT solutions, including design, development, and deployment
  • Experience in vendor management and application outsourcing

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
