The Job

• Design and implement security architecture frameworks that align with organisational goals and compliance requirements
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats and weaknesses
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard sensitive information
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security controls into system designs and application development
• Monitor security incidents and respond to breaches, ensuring timely remediation and reporting
• Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to enhance the organisation's security posture
• Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security
• Evaluate and recommend security tools and technologies to improve the organisation’s security infrastructure
• Perform regular audits and assessments of security controls to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Document security architecture, processes, and incident response plans for knowledge sharing and compliance purposes.-Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.gv, NIST, ISO 27001, CIS)

About you

• Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and vulnerability management tools
• Familiarity with cloud security principles and practices for cloud-based environments
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically about security challenges
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
