Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

We design, build, and operate the technology that powers the Club. Our primary focus is on delivering the service that supports our hospitality, racing and wagering operations, to ensure that our customers and members enjoy exceptional experiences.

The Department

The Cyber Security Department is essential to the Club’s ongoing success, safeguarding information assets, IT systems, networks, and cloud platforms while ensuring the resilience and continuity of critical operations. Through the implementation of strong risk governance frameworks and cybersecurity standards, the department protects the Club against emerging threats and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements in Hong Kong and China.

As the first line of defense, the department plays a key role in maintaining the Club’s reputation and operational resilience. Its core responsibilities include identifying and addressing vulnerabilities, protecting sensitive information, ensuring rapid incident response, overseeing access management, and promoting Club-wide cybersecurity awareness.

The Job

• Drive the execution of the Cyber Security Programme in alignment with the Cyber Security Strategy
• Support the programme management office for initiative planning and task effort evaluation
• Support security architecture initiatives, proof-of-concept or solution evaluation, in alignment with architectural standards
• Follow secure design methodologies, frameworks and roadmap
• Design and integrate security controls into PDLC processes and workflows
• Conduct comprehensive testing across various perspectives and levels
• Prepare good-quality documentation and handover materials

About You

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related fields
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, OCSP, GIAC, or Microsoft certification (Azure/Security) are preferred
• 5 to 8 years of experience in technical IT roles, specifically in cybersecurity and endpoint control
• Solid understanding of network, system, endpoint and cloud security
• Hands-on experience in enterprise solution deployment (Endpoint Detection and Response systems, Application Control) and integration with a variety of security solutions across platforms (e.g. SIEM/SOAR)
• Knowledge on endpoint security technologies, principles and practices, including threat insights, containment, investigation, remediation, etc.
• Familiar with EDR telemetries in Windows and Linux
• Ability to build automation and scripting language
• Proficiency in analytical, problem-solving and documentation
• Good communication skills and teamwork abilities, and able to work with cross-functional teams and vendors
