Technical Manager, Storage & Backup Solutions

We design, build, and operate the technology that powers the Club. Our primary focus is on delivering the service that supports our hospitality, racing and wagering operations, to ensure that our customers and members enjoy exceptional experiences.

We also deliver the changes necessary to drive business growth through new products and services. And, we are committed to safeguarding the Club by protecting it from external threats, providing a secure and resilient technological environment.

The Job

You will:

  • Design, set up, maintain and troubleshoot the overall production and non-production environment in the storage and backup domain.
  • Monitor usage and performance of the storage and backup infrastructure.
  • Optimise performance and usage of the storage and backup infrastructure
  • Deliver storage and backup infrastructure requests in a timely manner for all environments
  • Develop and maintain scripts for system administration and automation purposes in an operational environment with simplicity and sustainability
  • Provide support and consultancy on storage and backup solutions, govern the standards, evaluate related technologies and communicate with stakeholders like governance boards and vendors
  • Align personal development plan with business objectives and embrace the transformation to move the team/department forward
  • Maintain product and services contract healthiness, update and refresh in a timely manner

About You

You should have:

  • University degree in computer science, engineering or related subject
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience building and configuring enterprise-grade SAN storage (ideally with Dell EMC, HPE and NetApp)
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience building and configuring an enterprise-grade backup solution (ideally with Networker and Veeam)
  • Proven experience in Linux administration and scripting
  • Proven experience in cloud infrastructure setup and integration
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Excellent knowledge of storage architecture on SAN, NAS, and Object storage technologies
  • Excellent knowledge of virtualisation, cloud‐based storage, server and automation technologies
  • Excellent knowledge in scripting languages, such as PowerShell, BASH
  • Excellent knowledge of automation practices and delivery
  • Excellent knowledge and practical experience in SAN Storage administration
  • Excellent knowledge of backup and recovery with multiple cloud providers
  • Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration strategies
  • Good knowledge of DB services
  • Good knowledge of common and popular cloud services
  • Knowledge of storage and backup automation workflow
