Assistant Manager, UIUX Design

Job Summary

The China Digital Platform Development Team is responsible for supporting the Club in developing China's digital strategy roadmap, building China customer base via the ecosystem formation and delivering the end-to-end digital experience for customers. The Assistant Manager, UI/UX Design will report to Deputy Executive Manager, China Digital Platform Development
and will drive member engagement and business growth through integrated digital operations that seamlessly connect online activities with offline experiences. This role focuses on executing revenue-generating campaigns, managing event digital strategies, and building vibrant user communities across digital platforms. 

Major Tasks

  • Supports Deputy Executive Manager China Digital Platform Development in delivering user-centred digital application projects across the Club’s China digital projects of digital channels, including mobile app, website, e-commerce and cross-media platforms
  • Devises desirable front-end UX/UI and feasible solutions, input from business users, customer behaviour research, customer feedback; conveys design-thinking into visualisable plan including information architecture, wireframe and interactive prototype / mockups
  • Delivers innovative UX/UI design and technical direction for the Club’s China digital applications and services; manage and liaises with IT and external vendor on requirements, specifications, timeline, costing, development, testing and related deliverables
  • Participates in various product development activities, including user research, needs finding research, conceptual validation, UX/UI design, usability testing and user acceptance test
  • Provides support to develop unified design and style guide documentation for digital assets
  • Creates and manages artwork / graphic assets for use in all medium including mobile app, web / online, social media platform, video and display
  • Assesses and analyses usage behaviour and customer experience, and translates findings into actionable improvements plan; stays abreast of current trends and best practices in digital industry and technology options; consistently brings in new ideas to increase customer engagement
  • Undertakes other duties as assigned by Line Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or above in Graphics Design, Digital Product Design, Interactive Design, Multimedia Design, or other relevant disciplines
  • A minimum of 7 years’ working experience in creative and mobile app design
  • Solid experience of UX/UI, interaction and visual design with a strong understanding of user centred design
  • Deep understanding of China’s social commerce landscape (Douyin, Xiaohongshu, WeChat) and private traffic strategies
  • Experience with AI-driven customer engagement tools and cloud-based AI integration (e.g., Alibaba Cloud’s Qwen, Tencent’s Agent Platform)
  • Ability to leverage young generation trends (BNPL, convenience splurging), sport entertainment trend and marketing innovations for fans community building and entertainment offerings co-creation
  • Solid understanding of customer behaviour on mobile app and website and ability to translate findings into actionable UX/UI improvements plan
  • Relevant experience within an agile team on digital products implementation is an advantage
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Axure) is a must
  • Understanding in latest digital design trend is essential
  • An excellent working attitude, self-motivated and being a team player
  • Good interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Good written and verbal communication (English and Chinese)
  • Good understanding of mobile / web technology / programming a plus
