Digital Product Manager
Job Summary
The China Digital Platform Development Team is responsible for supporting the Club in developing China's digital strategy roadmap, building China customer base via the ecosystem formation and delivering the end-to-end digital experience for customers. They are also responsible for leading internal teams, managing vendors and IT in programme management, development and delivery of digital solutions, and collaborating with various departments / teams for the seamless deployment of solutions. The job holder will report to Deputy Executive Manager, China Digital Platform Development to support the China Digital Platform Development projects.
Major Tasks
- Lead Customer Digital Experience Development in the end-to-end delivery of user-centered digital projects across the Club's ecosystem (mobile app, website, e-commerce, cross-media). This role is pivotal in translating a deep understanding of the Chinese market and user behavior into seamless, effective, and locally-optimized digital experiences.
- Work closely with segment to gather different business team requirements and translate into desirable digital product solution.
- Create detailed user requirements including requirement specification, information architecture, wireframe and interactive prototype with deliverables of product prototype, user journey documents and user stories.
- Convey the product requirement to IT and external vendor. Evaluate their solution, especially on the front-end experience to fill in the gap.
- Manage the project scope and schedule.
- Lead and guide user acceptance test. And follow up the actions.
- Support in product launch.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Economics, or related fields is required
- 8-10 years in digital product management, including 5+ years as a Product Owner delivering consumer-facing products.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in product definition, including user analysis, journey mapping, process flow design, and feature/module specification.
- Proven ability to design and implement comprehensive event tracking plans to measure user behavior and product performance.
- Strong technical background with proven success in managing full product lifecycles using Agile methodologies, preferably in sports or entertainment industries.
- High proficiency with modern product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Figma) for creating detailed wireframes and interactive prototypes to define complete user experiences.
- Expert-level understanding of the Chinese digital landscape, with specific insights into local user behaviours, preferences, and platform ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to author clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria, and to effectively brief and collaborate with IT/development teams to deliver comprehensive, technically sound solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with experience utilizing data analytics to drive continuous product optimization and inform iterative development
- Product Design & Prototyping: Expert proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for creating wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Analytics & Data Tools: Hands-on experience with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Amplitude, or Mixpanel for user behavior tracking and product performance analysis.
- Project Management Tools: High proficiency with Jira and Confluence for backlog management, sprint planning, and documentation.
- Tracking Implementation: Practical knowledge of event tracking design and implementation using tools like Google Tag Manager.
- Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, mobile and web development frameworks, and database fundamentals to facilitate effective collaboration with engineering teams.
- A/B Testing: Experience with A/B testing tools like Optimizely or Firebase for data-driven experimentation and optimization.
