System Support Officer (9-Month Contract)
Job Description
The System Support Officer is responsible for delivering comprehensive technical and operational support across veterinary clinical services systems.
The role ensures the smooth functioning of departmental information systems, IT assets, and data management processes. It directly contributes to service quality, financial accuracy, and the integrity of veterinary clinical data, thereby supporting the department’s operational efficiency and strategic objectives.
The Job
- Provide support across Veterinary Management Information System (VMIS), Finance Management Information System (FMIS), Maximo, Horse Movement Information System, Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Departmental Share portal, and other club systems.
- Manage issue resolution, revamp projects, technical refresh initiatives, UAT coordination, and implementation checks.
- Develop and maintain system manuals, guidelines, and deliver user training.
- Provide technical and financial support in FMIS including GRN reminders, cost updates, and monthly stock take reconciliation.
- Deliver IT support to staff and veterinary teams.
- Oversee hardware/software upgrades and mobile devices management.
- Assist veterinary teams with clinical data handling, research projects, and training materials.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in IT/system support; experience in healthcare or veterinary services will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems, financial systems, and clinical data handling.
- Fluent in Cantonese and English; proficiency in Putonghua will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in system administration, troubleshooting, and user support.
- Broad knowledge of general information systems and platforms.
- Familiarity with IT asset management and mobile device support.
- Strong MS Office and database management skills.
