Job Summary

To assist duty engineer and lead a team technician to provide regularly 7x24 comprehensive facilities management services for the building operation, to handling any emergency situations and to reporting the incident at racecourse and stable area, guiding technicians to assist external contractor to perform preventive and corrective maintenance of UPS, Fire Services installation and Elevator System in Shatin Racecourse and Data Centre, ensure all installations are engineered to optimum technical and safety standards, and efficient in which to operate, provide Raceday meeting duty support to ensure all those facilities are stable and have maximum performance during the race meetings.

The Job

• This position will assist the duty engineer and lead a team technician to provide comprehensive facilities management services for the building operation, support the daily operation related to property management services at racecourse including Shatin Data Centre, Stable area, etc., and guiding technicians to assist external contractor to perform the maintenance of building services installations, especially mission critical systems such as UPS systems, Fire Services System, Elevator System and also to overviewing the operation of backup generators, chiller plants, CRAC systems, track light control system, power quality monitoring system, etc., at racecourse.
• To assist duty engineer to monitor 7x24 operation for the highest uptime of redundant power supply and continuous cooling for Shatin Data Centre
• Second in-charge of the building operation for the regular 7 x 24 operation and any ad hoc and emergency situations at racecourse and stable area.
• Monitor and liaise with external contractor to guarantee the job delivery
• Require to report duty according to racing fixture and to control the track light system at race meeting and morning track work

About You

• Certificate / Craft certificate in Electrical /Mechanical / Building Services Engineering or other relevant engineer discipline
• Must be a Registered Electrical Worker (Grade A & B) under the EMSD, and hold a valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate “Green Card”
• Basic knowledge of computer operations required
• Minimum of 8 years’ hands-on experience in the maintenance, operation and troubleshooting of UPS(Uninterruptible Power supply) system, generators, power supply system, main distribution boards, air conditioning system, and fire protection equipment.
• Possession of a valid driving license for a Light Good Vehicle is an advantage
