The Division

The Racing Division is committed to managing all aspects of Hong Kong’s world-class sport of horse racing, covering the full value chain — from importation and training to racedays, equestrian, welfare, integrity, and international engagement.  With Conghua Racecourse and Greater Bay Area expansion, we’re shaping racing into a dynamic sporting, social, and entertainment experience.

The Job

You Will:

You will:

  • Exercise and ride 8 to 10 racehorses during Trackwork or at other training facilities, performing paced/time work in the morning or afternoon as instructed by your allocated Trainer or his delegate
  • Be able to ride and educate different categories of racehorses including young, inexperienced and bad manner horses
  • Provide accurate feedback or advice of the horses to the Trainer or his delegate
  • May require to perform jumping exercise
  • Perform ground works in the stable including bandaging, grooming, horse treatment etc. in both morning and afternoon
  • Attend and perform duties at every race meeting
  • Perform Starting Gate duties during race meetings and barrier trials as assigned by the Starter
  • Any other duties required by the HODSSO or his delegate

About You

You Should Have: 

  • Possess minimum of 5 years’ experience in riding thoroughbred
  • Be able to work in a Team
  • Be able to communicate in English effectively
