"Developing an Integrative Perspective Beyond Technology."

"My journey began with the chance to contribute to the Club’s growing presence in the Greater Bay Area (GBA). Through the rotational exposure offered by the MT Programme, I was able to explore different parts of HKJC and learn beyond the boundaries of a single role.

A particularly defining chapter was the Conghua Racecourse (CRC) project, the Club’s pioneering effort to establish a world-class racecourse in the GBA, to which I devoted most of my rotations.

In my first year, I participated in the deployment of multiple IT systems, helping track progress across different teams. I later shifted from programme management support to owning a customer-facing feature, which served as the last mile of a signature Lucky Draw experience. Seeing a solution evolving from a digital concept into a real customer touchpoint gave me a much deeper appreciation of the value our systems can create.

This sparked my curiosity to explore beyond technology itself. I subsequently joined the CRC Project Management Office, where I gained greater visibility into the planning and delivery behind the racecourse’s development. Working closely with teams across different divisions gave me first-hand insight into how diverse expertise and contributions come together to drive meaningful outcomes.

Over time, the journey was both challenging and rewarding, broadening my perspective and building the resilience and adaptability that continue to shape my professional growth. As CRC progresses towards becoming a flagship of the GBA, I hope to grow alongside it and play a part in bringing this vision to life."
